Orange at Chartwell

13/4/22

As per the Government announcement, from 11:59pm Wednesday 13 April 2022 Chartwell Shopping Centre will move to Orange Traffic-light trading.

What this means for you:

  • All stores, the foodcourt, cafes and restaurants no longer have limits on the number of customers inside at one time.
  • For your safety, face masks remain mandatory when you are inside the Centre. This includes entering the Centre, all stores including beauty, nail salons and hairdressers, and the foodcourt. Staff will also continue to wear a face mask.
  • Our kids play area will re-open and ride-on toys will return in the coming days.
  • As a reminder, you no longer need to scan-in when entering our Centre, and the My Vaccine Pass is no longer required.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you soon.

Previous update: 5/4/22

With the Government’s recent announcement regarding the COVID-19 Protection Framework from Tuesday 5th April My Vaccine Pass mandates are no longer required. This means close-contact businesses, gyms, and cafes no longer need to sight customers passes.

Please note that individual retailers may choose to continue to require customers to present their My Vaccine Pass.

Our Foodcourt and café retailers are now offering additional seating within the updated 200-person limit.

- There is no longer a requirement for you to scan in or for a business to display a QR code poster.

- Please note that current face mask requirements remain unchanged and face masks are required to be worn when visiting the Centre.

There is no change to Chartwell Shopping Centre's opening hours.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to seeing you soon.

Previous update: 23/1/22

As part of the Government’s Traffic Light System, Chartwell Shopping Centre will move to the Red setting from midnight Sunday 23 January 2022. In the Red setting, there is not much change from the Orange setting for shopping centres:

•1-metre distancing returns at Restaurants and cafes, with limits on no more than 100 people, whichever is the lesser. You’ll still need a My Vaccine Pass to dine in the foodcourt. If Vaccine Passes are not used, then cafes and restaurants can offer contactless pick up or takeaway only.

•1-metre distancing returns to Gyms, with limits on no more than 100 people at one time, whichever is the lesser. You’ll still need to scan in and show your My vaccine Pass to attend.

Shopping at Chartwell in Red:

• The My Vaccine Pass is still not required to access essential services such as Countdown and Life Pharmacy. As these services are located within our Centre, it’s important to note that customers do not need to show their My Vaccine Pass just to enter the centre.

• General retail stores like clothing and fashion, jewellery, bookstores, banks, and finance still do not need to ask to see your My Vaccine Pass.

• Close-contact businesses like nail salons, hairdressers, beauticians, massage and gyms can only open for customers who have their My Vaccine Pass.

Please bear with us as information may change and we will endeavour to keep our community updated. As we navigate through these changing times together, we thank you for your patience and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you soon! -The Team at Chartwell Shopping Centre
