After the incredible response to last year’s ‘Donate & Receive’ campaign, we were excited to bring the initiative back to Chartwell this August in partnership with Dress for Success Hamilton.

From Wednesday 5 August to Tuesday 25 August 2026, shoppers were invited to clear out their wardrobes and donate two or more pieces of quality, gently used corporate wear, with each donation qualifying for a $15 Chartwell gift card.

The response from our community was once again incredible, with more than 24 wheelie bin loads of corporate clothing collected throughout the campaign.

While we didn’t count every individual piece, the sheer volume of donations was impossible to miss. Bin after bin was filled with blazers, blouses, trousers, skirts and other corporate clothing, all ready to be given a second life through Dress for Success Hamilton.

The donated clothing will support women across the Waikato who may be preparing for a job interview, starting a new role or navigating another important milestone. Dress for Success Hamilton provides professional clothing alongside styling advice, career support and other services that help women move towards economic independence.

For the women receiving these donations, the impact can go well beyond having something appropriate to wear. Having an outfit that feels right can help someone feel more confident, prepared and ready to take their next step.
