Two local mums have been treated to a little extra love this Mother's Day after winning Chartwell Shopping Centre's popular Mother's Day giveaway, which encouraged shoppers to nominate a deserving mum for the chance to win one of two curated prize packs, each valued at $500+.

The promotion, which ran in the lead-up to Mother's Day, featured a beautiful Mother's Day card photo wall and invited shoppers to choose between the ‘Style & Shine’ or the ‘Reset & Recharge’ prize packs, alongside sharing why the prize would make a difference to them or a mum in their life. The response from the Hamilton community was overwhelming, with hundreds of heartfelt entries received.

The winner of the ‘Reset & Recharge Pack’ was Jess Duggan, who was nominated by Caitlin Parris. In her nomination, Caitlin shared that Jess had moved her entire life to Hamilton last year to create a better environment for her daughter, describing her as "an awesome single mum who deserves a treat." 

While the ‘Style & Shine Pack’ was awarded to Toya Woodcock, who was nominated by her mother-in-law, Gaylene Woodcock. Gaylene's nomination highlighted Toya's strength and resilience after becoming a first-time mum, while navigating several weeks in hospital with a seriously ill baby. Her nomination described Toya as someone who "deserves some pampering" after everything she has been through.

A huge congratulations to Jess and Toya, and thank you to everyone who took the time to enter and nominate a deserving mum. The heartfelt entries received this year were a wonderful reminder of the strength, kindness and dedication shown by mums every day.
